  • In-home lessons are available in Evanston and surrounding suburbs for an additional fee (based on location).

Option 2: North Chicago Studio

  • Location: 4200 North, near Old Irving Park

  • Free parking available

Lesson Overview

  • I offer private instruction in all areas of percussion, including:

  • Drum set

  • Percussion keyboard instruments: marimba, vibraphone, xylophone, piano, etc.

  • Lessons are customized to each student’s skill level and goals, with a focus on:

  • Reading music

  • Improvisation

  • Ensemble performance

  • Classical and jazz styles

  • Developing technical proficiency and musicality

  • I typically work with:

  • Elementary, middle, and high school students

  • Adults who want to brush up on their skills or learn for fun

If you're concerned about the noise level of percussion instruments at home, please call me—we can discuss effective volume-reduction techniques. I'm also happy to help you find quality instruments that fit your budget.
